Taylor Nicole Rice is an extraordinary little girl. Sure, she loves Ballet, Tap, and Hip-Hop Dancing and is a Girl Scout like many 10 year olds. But after she endured having to watch her mother through two bouts of cancer, this extraordinary little girl wanted to share her story with other children so they will understand some of the scary things that happen when someone you love has cancer. So she wrote this warm, heartfelt children’s book, My Cancer Mommy.
Taylor was only seven months old when her Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time. When she was seven years old, her Mom was diagnosed with the BRCA cancer gene and was diagnosed with her third cancer.
My Cancer Mommy is a breakthrough children’s book that speaks to kids from a kid’s voice. Like Taylor’s mom did for her, My Cancer Mommy takes the hands of children of other cancer mommies and walks them through the scary journey of cancer, from diagnosis to recovery.
Taylor lives in Laguna Hills with her parents, DeAnna and Tim Rice, along with her two dogs. She is very close to her brothers and sisters. She’s currently in 6th Grade at Cordillera Elementary School.
